SCRA Announces Three New Client Companies

Summerville, S.C.—South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announced the recent acceptance of three Client Companies into its entrepreneurial program, SC Launch. Client Companies are provided mentoring and grants and may be eligible for investments from SC Launch, Inc.

Wander Technologies, Inc. (dba Rayka), located in Charleston, is a nearby discovery platform based on recommendations, rather than 1-5 star reviews. The app allows users to find places through high quality videos and images, provided by friends, experts and their community and is available on the iOS and Google Play stores.

Reporting Xpress, Inc., located in Cayce, is a cloud based online reporting distribution solution that integrates with Blackbaud’s cloud based Financial Edge NXT and Raiser’s Edge. Reporting Xpress empowers non-financial departmental users to easily obtain essential information when they need it, without taxing financial department resources. The result is improved customer service to those departmental users and greater efficiencies in the financial organization.

Competitor Tent, Inc., located in Aiken, is a unique, new mobile app aimed at providing competitive equestrians training and competition results and analytics across the disciplines of Dressage, Eventing, Jumpers, and Show Hunters. It provides analytics around the products that competitors use and trust, bridging the gap between consumers and brands.

SCRA is a state-chartered organization that fuels job creation and grows South Carolina’s innovation economy. Through SCRA’s entrepreneurial program, SC Launch, early-stage companies are provided mentoring and grants and may be eligible for investments from SC Launch, Inc. The program is open to qualified South Carolina companies in the Advanced Materials/Manufacturing, Information Technology and Life Sciences sectors.

Chartered in 1983 by the State of South Carolina as a public, nonprofit corporation, SCRA fuels South Carolina’s Innovation Economy by accelerating technology-enabled growth in research, academia, entrepreneurship and industry.

Established in 2006, SC Launch, Inc., is an independent, nonprofit corporation affiliated with SCRA, which provides loans and investments to selected South Carolina-based companies participating in the SC Launch program.
