Summerville, S.C. – South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announced the recent acceptance of six Client Companies into its entrepreneurial program, SC Launch. Client Companies are provided mentoring and grants and may be eligible for investments from SC Launch, Inc.

Coastal Companies
Gotcha, located in Charleston, is the only mobility-as-a-service company offering four sustainable micro-transit products: e-bikes, e-scooters, e-trikes, and electric ride share vehicles – through one proprietary, app-based platform. Gotcha empowers communities to lead happier, more productive lives through alternative forms of transportation specifically designed for each market served. Gotcha currently operates 100 shared e-mobility systems in cities and universities across the US.

HAH Parking, a Charleston-based company, has developed a mobile “smart parking” solution that maximizes the use of underutilized parking spaces. The product connects paying customers to empty parking spots by allowing drivers to find and park in nearby spots listed by locals, and space owners to earn extra revenue from idle spots.

Midlands Company
Sow, Inc. has developed a network of self-service, refrigerated chests for local farms to stock and sell their products, called Sow Outposts. Consumers can locate a nearby Sow Outpost using a mobile app also developed by the company. The company is located in Columbia and won the University of South Carolina’s Proving Ground Competition in March 2018.

Upstate Companies
Blue Eye Soft, located in Greer, is an IT and IT enabled services company that focuses on business intelligence and predictive analytics using artificial intelligence and the cloud. The company provides custom software and data solutions to medium and large enterprises as well as nonprofit organizations. Services include cloud integration, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, data lake, robotic process automation, cybersecurity, big data practices, and mobile solutions. Blue Eye Soft also runs a testing facility offering professional certifications and collegiate exams. The founder, Srikanth Kodeboyina, was recently recognized as South Carolina Minority Small Business Person of the Year by the South Carolina District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Hook Security, located in Greenville, is a cybersecurity training company focused on reducing company risks through simulating phishing and social engineering attacks. Trainings provided by Hook Security are based on new innovations “edutainment,” so employees are coached and entertained into safer behaviors through shareable video content. Hook Security is 100% dedicated to its reseller partners in the technology channel.
