Inside DC BLOX | Driving Digital Transformation in South Carolina

Tier 3 data center in Greenville

Ted Hassold takes Cherish Benton on a tour of DC BLOX.

As DC BLOX gears up for its official grand opening in Greenville in mid-April, Senior Director of Business Development and Greenville native Ted Hassold invited us for a sneak peek inside the Tier 3 data center. It’s the first of its kind in South Carolina!

Tier 3 data centers have multiple paths for power and cooling. They also have systems in place to update and maintain the center without taking it offline. It has an expected uptime of 99.982%, which equates to less than 1.6 hours per year.

Reliability is a must for growing SC businesses and for attracting new ones. Ted said, “We may not have made the cut because we didn’t have the IT infrastructure. Now we can attract the best of the best. They can relocate their corporate headquarters to Greenville because we have the IT infrastructure in place.”

Watch this short video for a behind-the-scenes look at what’s going on at DC BLOX.
